Show Boulder News LeNora LeFevre Having attended the hearings on the Burr Trail road. It is necessary for all Interested people who are in favor of this road to write to Senator E. Jake Garn, Senator Orrin G. Hatch, Congressman Howard C, Nielson and Congressman James V. Hansen for their approval and permissoin. We also need funds to start construction on the Burr Trail road. Their addresses are in the May 1985 Newsletter from GarKane Power Association. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Church recently returned from a memorable missionary reunion at Hurricane with the eight couples who served with in the Seattle Temple, where they did the training of new ordinance workers. Their honored guests were President and sister F. Arthur Kay who presided over them. President Kay has been anointed to the seventies quorum of the IDS Church. Elaine Carter and four children accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Joe Smith and two sons from the BYU are visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Church. Elaine Equinta of Las Vegas is spending the summer at her home. Mr. and Mrs. Erway Peterson and daughters of Salt Lake City are spending some time at their home in Boulder, Ward, son of Mr. and Mrs. An thony Coombs was among the nine graduates of the Escalante High School. Ward was one of the honor students. His uncle Mr. and Mrs. Larry Coombs of Monroe came for the graduation exercises. They also visited Elaine Roundy and Wesley, Mr. and Mrs. Vard Coombs and Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Coombs and their children. Charles Flake and Niles Brad-shaw of Arizona were on vacation at their ranch. Janet Austin and her son Dr. Johnny Austin and her sister Catherine Strickland of California spent a week at their home. One thousand visitors were at the Anasazi State Park one day on Memorial weekend. Mr. and Mrs. Neal Jepsen went to Bryce Canyon for the National Park grand opening ceremonies held June first. Tye Petty received a Duty to God award in sacrament meeting on June 2nd. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Mecham of Tropic visited the Boulder Ward. |
