Show - Tropic Topics ' Ella Adair The Charley Franciscos have their grandsons visiting with them. Daughter Robyn and husband also spent a few days with them. The visitor center was opened Monday in Tropic. Phyllis Stewart had her sisters, brother and parents in Tropic for the graduation exercises. The E. R. Shakespears had daughter Arvon spend a day with them. While there she gave her mother a new hair style. Glenda Feltner, Vaughn Twit-chell, and Mr. and Mrs. Desmond Twitchell, were Sunday visitors at the LaMar Feltners and Lonny Pollocks. Membership was accepted in the ward for Richard Mclnelly. The Relief Society presidency, Florence Syrett, Keela Mangum, Charlotte Littlefield and Catherine Littlefield were released Sunday. Cheryl Pollock is the new president with Carta Ramsay, 1st counselor; Tonya Syrett, 2nd counselor and Larraine Niemann, secretary; Kae Lynn Brook was released as the Sun Beam leader In the Primary. Robyn Barton will take her place. Mary Ann Castro and Arda Mitchell are the Primary Nursery leaders. The van will pick up any lady interested in the swimming-water exercise class, at 9:30 a.m. Class is being taught at the Pines on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings. Ora Brinkerhoff was in Cedar City on business., Mr. and Mrs. Evan Chynoweth visited with relatives and friends. Evan took care of cattle while in the area. The Earl Jolleys attended graduation exericses in Panguitch. Grandson Earl Jolley was one of the graduates. Gwen Shakespear and Kay Mar Willis were among the graduates from southern Utah State College. . The Obie Shakespears, Roy Willis and Mary Jean Willis attended the exercises. Rachel Ahlstrom has enjoyed a visit from sister Leah, Salt Lake City and brother Julius and wife, California. She took her sister home to Salt Lake City the forepart of the week. Margaret M. Mecham went to Salt Lake City with Rachel to visit her daughter. Dorma Barton visited with relatives. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Weizenreid spent a week cleaning their yard and property before returning to Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Val Shakespear, Enoch visited with Marian Shakespear. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Wintch visited son Kenneth in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar LeFevre attended graduation exercises at the Page, Ariz, high school. Larren LeFevre, son of Mr. and Mrs. John LeFevre was one of the graduates. Truie Allen has sons John and Lynn and their families home for a short visit. Margaret Mecham had daughter Garnet visit with her. Rachel Ahlstrom accompanied her brother and, sister to Kanab Memorial Day. Robert Ott, a former Bryce Valley High School graduate, was the commencement speaker at high school graduation exercises. He and his wife and children visited with the Jack Chynoweth family and spent the night with them. The LaMar LeFevres had all of their family home for the weekend. Granddaughter Kerri Lynn received her name and blessing in sacrament meeting by her father Clark LeFevre. The LaMar Feltner's new baby boy received his name, Tristin Lamoine, by his father" LaMar Feltner in sacrament meeting. Visiting with the LaMar Feltners are Todd, Olsen and Phil Olsen, Shelly, Ida. The Lester Clarkes have daughter Dian home for a vacation. The Blaine Andersons have his parents from Salt Lake City visiting with them. Mary Jean Willis has her father and sister as weekend visitors from Provo. They came for Kay Mar's graduation exercises. Vickie SyretJ enjoyed a visit from her sister and daughter. The Ursel Otts had daughter Gale and her husband Larry, Spanish Fork, spent the weekend with them. Keela Mangum spent a week in Zion National Park with Paul getting their business started. Kerry McAllister and Mr. and Mrs. June Bushnell visited with the Paul Mangums. Alaska Richards enjoyed a visit from sister Dicy Shumway, Kamas. The Si Munsons had Nevada family visitors. Mark Loria is employed by Paul Mangum as a trail rider. A court of honor was held at which time Alan Buckingham received his eagle badge. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Barton are visiting with the Berdell Barton family. The Tropic High graduation class of 1935 will hold a 50-year reunion at the Tropic park on June 14 and 15. All class members are Invited to attend. |
