Show Facilities Completed At Otter Creek State Park New facilities for Utah campers, boaters and fishermen are now officially open for public use at two popular State Park area, according to Gordon Tenney, information specialist for the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation. At Starvation Lake State Recreation Area near Duchesne, Utah some $900,000 has been expended on a new 74-unit campground. At the Otter Creek Lake State Beach in Piute County new campground facilities include a 24-unit campground, sewerage dump station, fish deaning station, .modem rest rooms, landscaping and ranger housing. The Otter Creek project was constructed by Valley Builders of Gunnison, at a cost of $220,000. Visitor use at both areas has accelerated steadily over the last five years. Otter Creek, for instance, recorded 3,323 visitors during all of 1971. Visitation for the first half of 1976 totaled 8,519. Overnight camping fees of $2-00 per vehicles are now in effect at the Otter Creek and Starvation park areas. |
