Safer Medical Treatment For Region Because of new modern equipment at Garfield Memorial Hospital, doctors are now able to perform surgery and provide treatment never before available in this area. While the terminology of medical equipment may be foreign to many, to the medical profession It's sweet music to the doctors to hear that the facility has such an operating coagulation unit, cardiac monitor and the latest anesthesia machine. The operating coagulation unit is similar to the one used at University Medical Center and IDS Hospital in Salt Lake City. Dr. Harry Cavanagh, Dr. Eugene Reames and Dr. Stanley Bezak have indicated their pleasure with the new equipment, as well as the new hospital and facilities in general. They are supported in their view by Dr. Larry Stevens, consulting surgeon from LDS Hospital who assists the local surgeons with certain major cases.
