Show Area Obituaries - I Junius Nielson CANNONVILLE - Junius Morten Nielson, 81, Can-nonville, died Feb. 13 in a Panguitch after a stroke. He was born Dec. 21, 1893, Richfield, to Lorenzo and Mattie Christine Peterson Nielson. He married Elizabeth Newton Smith, Sept. 14, 1921, Richfield; solemnized in the St. George LDS Temple. He was a veteran of World War I and a retired general merchant. Survivors: wife; son, daughters, William Morten, Cannonville; Mrs. Nephi (Shanna) Goulding, Mrs. Ralph (Lael) Chynoweth, both Henrieville; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; brother, sister, Ray, Panguitch; Lael, Salt Lake City. Funeral services were Monday in the Cannonville Ward Chapel with Bishop Alden Hamblin, officiating. Rodrick Nielson offered the family prayer and Elva Clark played prelude music. Ralph Chynoweth offered the invocation. Speakers were George Thompson, Jack Nelson and Bishop Hamblin. Music was a duet by Robert Goulding and Ladora Baugh and tribute by Shanna Goulding. Wayne J. Goulding offered the benediction. Burial was in the Cannonville Cemetery by Neal S. Magleby and Sons Mortuary, Richfield, where Marion Clark offered the dedicatory prayer. Pallbearers were Herbert Baugh, Stephen Berningham, Klin Chynoweth, Parker Nielson, James P. Miller and Turner Burningham. Honarary pallbearers were Nephi Goulding, Ray Nielson, Cal Chynoweth, Burk Smith and James Nielson. |
