Show Hatch Happenings Rev tawdtr 7JS-4HO Friday afternoon Keva Lowder was hostess at the DUP meeting held In her home. She served a luncheon and the lesson "Early Pioneers Photographers" was given. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap and Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wilson went to Manti Wednesday and attended sessions in the temple. Sunday and Monday Bishop and Mrs. Donald Heap of Cedar City, visited the Garth Heaps. Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Frehner attended the regional wrestling at Delta, Friday and Saturday. Students here attending were Brett Frehner, Kinball Sawyer and Mark Jones. We congratulate Mark as he took state. Doris Barney, a cheerleader for the Pahguitch High School was also there. Visiting during the weekend was Sain Aiken of SUSC Cedar City. The Dale Glenaers of Monroe, stayed at the Frehners Friday and Saturday and Visited Michelle. The Darol Allred family of Lubboch, Texas, arrived at the Oliver Huntingtons Saturday. They will visit most of the week prior to taking son, Lloyd, to a Salt Lake City where he will enter the mission home. Sunday, Lloyd, Beth and Darol Allred spoke in sacrament meeting. Dorothy Barney was sustained as drama leader in the Youth Program. Hope, Bonnie and Kimberly Dalton visited Thursday in Kanab at the Gib Clarks. Shannon and Travis accompanied them here to visit until Sunday. Fred Gib visited his parents in Cedar City. Saturday he came to visit the Daltons until Sunday and to get his family. Saturday evening Shannon and Pamela helped the Bruce Daltons entertain their parents at a joint birthday surprise party. Out of town town guests were Kenny and Phillip Bailey of Milford; the Larry Baileys of Minersville; Carla Cooper and Jenell Crosby, and the .Gale Wilcocks of Panguitch; Gib and Travis of Kanab; and a group of local couples. Sunday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Huntington, with the help of their four daughters, entertained at a special dinner in the cultural hall for their 2 grandsons, Lloyd Allred, leaving on a mission, and Richard Dix just returning from four years in the Navy. Fifty five family members were present and also a few friends. Out of town guests were the Gam Huntingtons of St. George; the Darol Allreds of Texas; the Vay Sawyers of Kanab; the Pat Dixes, the Gale Wilcocks the Fred Houstons, Gale and Dwayne Davis and Karen Yardley, all of Panguitch; Mr. and Mrs. Larry Bailey of Minersville; Jeffrey Sawyer of Las Vegas; the Ken Roberts of Antimony; Pamela and Brandt Stubbs of Parowan; and family members in town. Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Huntington and the Allreds spent the evening in Panguitch at the Gale Wilcocks. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Duckett left Tuesday to attend Travel Shows at Las Vegas and Phoenix in the interest of the tourist trade in southern Utah. Emma Rae Humpheries of Cedar City visited the LaVal Sawyers. Margie Prince is visiting friends and relatives in California. Mr. and Mrs. George Newsome bought some property in Kanab and moved their mobile home there last week. Diane York visited in Kanab during the week. Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Turek visited their son Brent and family in Cedar City then went on to Washington where they stayed four days at the Wynn Turkes while Shauna was in the Dixie hospital following a major operation. Shauna's mother assisted the family when the Tureks returned home. Visiting the David Sawyers over the weekend was Jeffrey Sawyer of Las Vegas. Jeffrey's parents, the Kerry Sawyers, came for him Sunday evening. Visitors with the David Sawyers Saturday were the Darwin Shakespears of Panguitch and the Ken Roberts of Antimony. Weekend visitors at the Eric Barnhursts were Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Wilcox of Payson. The Barnhurst's four granddaughters stayed with them Wednesday while their parents Bishop and Mrs. Mervin Barn-hurst visited her father, Virgil Pollock In the Panguitch Hospital. Idonna Deuel and family visited Saturday in Cedar City. The Deloy Evans of Las Vegas came Sunday to visit the Lynn Evans. The Vay Sawyers of Kanab spent the weekend at the Arnold Sawyers. Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Huntington visited Wednesday evening in Kanab with their family. |
