Show Polled Hereford Sale Readied At Richfield Auction The fourth annual sale of Polled Herefords promises to be an outstanding event with our 1974 State Fair class winners, and some outstanding individuals from last years All Breeds Test in Centerville, under the direction of the Utah State Extension Service, consigned. Our breeders have greatly improved their herds by the purchases of national herd sires and by the use of artificial insemination of proven sires, Bulls range from 18 to 36 months and heifers range from 7 to 30 months. The largest bull weighs 1900 lbs. Several of the heifers for sale are bred. This sale will be held in the new auction arena 3 miles south of Richfield, Utah near Monroe junction, Saturday, March 8. This arena, in addition to being clean, roomy, and convenient, offers a 24-hour luncheon. Dean Parker, a native Utahn, now from California, will be the auctioneer. Ivan Haskell, of Payson, is secretary of the show and can furnish additional information to those interested. Kenneth Christensen who is president of the sale says this sale is going to be one of the biggest and best sales to date. |
