Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair 674-2311 Mr. and Mrs. Steve Willis and daughters have been visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Roy Willis for the past week. Steve left Tuesday for South Carolina and will then go from there to Frankfurt, Germany where he will be stationed with the Army. Louise and children will remain with the Willis' until they can join Steve in Germany. The annual bread and milk banquet was held in the ward cultural hall Tuesday evening. A special program was presented by the students from Southern Utah State College. JoannTopham and twin sons spent the past week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Munson. Mr. and Mrs. Stewart Sorenson were weekend visitors at the Alton Shakes pear home. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Cos and family from Tooele, were recent visitors at the Owen Shakespear home. The Eldon Brinkerhoffs received word that their daughter, Louise Shakespear is a patient in the hospital in Williams, Ariz. Virgil Pollock came through his heart surgery and is back to the hospital in Salt Lake City. He would enjoy hearing from anyone who is in the area. He is in the Veterans Hospital. The Clem Johnsons had their daughter and family as weekend visitors. Mr. and Mrs. Cornell Willis and sons were weekend visitors at the Roy Willis home. Speakers in sacrament meeting Sunday were Lester Clarke, Laurence Adair and Marion Clark. Kerry Alvey was graduated from Primary, ordained a deacon and received the "Duty To uod iTau Award . A special musical number was , presented by the Relief Society chorus. I Cora Shakespear has been I released as Relief Society I assistant librarian and Mary I Ott will take her place. Garna I Kay Duel has been released as I a Primary teacher and pattie I Munson will take her place. I The Lenand Duel family from San Diego were weekend visitors at the Garn Haycocks. ' They were here for Richard and Debbie Haycocks reception Friday night. Several of the Relief Society workers were in attendance to I I the leadership meeting in I Escalante Saturday. I Stake conference will be held I in Escalante Sunday. , Mr. and Mrs. Malen Lit I tlefield of Layton, visited in I, Tropic with relatives and I friends over the weekend. I A public hearing concerning I the water and sewer systems I was held Saturday night at the I school. |
