Show Hatch Happenings Reva Lowder 735-4203 Mr. and Mrs. E. F. Turek attended meeting in Cedar City Sunday where their little grandson received the name Brian Brent by his father, Brent Turek. Orlas Riggs went to Salt Lake City Saturday so he could visit his family there and bring Estella home. While there, they attended church where their great grandson received his name and blessing. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Steven Riggs. Maggie Barnhurst accompanied Orlas to the city where she will visit the Merlin Barnhursts. DUP meeting was held at the home of Velma Huntington Friday. Layton Barney went to Roosevelt last week to help with V"(C Gordons tiny daughter wlo Wd an operation on her eye. Wiile there, Mrs. Barney also heped with a new granddaughter born to Vic and Joyce. Saturday to visit the Gordons aid bring Floriene home. Visiting the LaMar Barneys v-ere her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Cameron of Springville. While here they all toured the Virgin River gorge where the ni'w highway is built. Robert Barirey, en route to Las Vegas visited them. David and Tracy Woodmancy and Rodney ..Savage visited their grandparents, the David and Nile Sawyers. Sunday afternoon the Nile Sawyers and Mrs. David Sawyer went to Antimony to take the children home. The Vay Sawyers, Vaelyn and Verene of Kanab, spent the weekend at the Arnold Sawyers. They took Verla and Vanetta home after they had spent the past week with their grandparents. Mr. and Mrs. Karl Lowder visited Friday in Kanab with Mrs. Vay Sawyer. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wilson and two small children of St. George brought Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Wilson home Friday after they had spent a month there. Jesse spent part of her time in the hospital. Jesse and Lilith both say thanks to friends far and near for their friendship. Mr. Grant Dalton arrived home from a trip to Salt Lake City Thursday with Mrs. Gib Clark and Travis. They stayed until Friday then Gib came for to Kanab Saturday to visit the Clarks. Sunday visitors with the Daltons were the Wayne them and took them to Kanab. Grant spent the weekend home. Mr. and Mrs. Dalton accompanied the Bruce Daltons Strubbs and Burk Childres of Parowan. Saturday, the Gale Wilcocks and Gale Davis visited them. In the evening, the Grant Daltons and the Bruce Daltons went to the Wilcocks In Panguitch for a family dinner. Idonna Deuel and children visited Sunday afternoon in Hurricane with friends. The LaVal Sawyers entertained Sunday afternoon at a family dinner. Those attending were Mr. and Mrs. Allen Humpheries of Hurricane; Emma Rae Humpheries of Cedar City; the Vay Sawyers, Kanab; the Ivan Barneys, Richfield; and Althea Velasquez, New Mexico. Vaughn Evans who has employment at Las Vegas is home with his parents, the Sam Evans. Gail Duckett and Margie Prince just returned from a trip to Washington to visit the Kerry Carpenters and in Oregon with relatives. Monday, Bill Duckett left for Salt Lake City to attend a travel council meeting and several other meetings. Visiting over the weekend with Bill Duckett were Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Russell, and two friends from Norman, Okla., en route to Idaho. Visiting over the weekend at the Calvin Wilsons were Wilford Lane of Page, and Manley Lane of Copper Mine, Ariz. Thursday and Friday, Mr. and Mrs. John Mecham of Tropic visited the Oliver Huntingtons. Sunday, visitors with them were Mr. and Mrs. Pat Dix and April Barabas, Mrs. Fred Houston and two sons, Panguitch. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Heap visited Monday in Cedar City. The Primary organization presented the program in sacrament meeting Sunday. It was "I will Follow Jesus '. The president, Carla Sawyer, wants the children to know she was very pleased with the way they performed. |
