Show I Garfield County Business Volume Increased 9.5 I Business activity in Garfield County increased by 9.5 percent last year, according to a study just released by Utah Foundation, the private research organization. A large part of the increased dollar sales volume in 1974, however, was due to inflation with Ihe average increase in cost of living last year being 11 percent. The Foundation report ihowi that gross sales in Garfield County as measured by local option sales tax collections, amounted to $8,943,000 during 1974, This compares with total business activity of (8.1G6.000 in 1973, $6,199,000 In 1970 and $5,295,000 in 1907. |
