Show Snow To Host 35 Area Schools at Track Meet EPHRA1M Snow College will host several hundred athletes Saturday at the annual invitational track and field and tennis meet. At the conclusion of the meet which traditionally brings to the campus many of the top performers in the state trophies, medals and ribbons will go to the winners. About 35 high schools will be represented at the meet, according to Ray Odette, general chairman. They will compete In Class A and Class 3A divisions. Trophies will be awarded the winning teams in each division and the top individual performers in point totals. Medals and ribbons will go to the first place finishers who place in the various events. In the tennis phase of the meet, medals will be presented to slnglw and doubles champs in the two divisions and ribbons will go to the players who finish in second place. Tennis, under the direction of Bart Nelson, will get underway on the college courts at eight Saturday morning. Track and field will open with the Class A pole vault at 8:15. Last year Hillcrwt won thu Class 3A championship and Delta the Class 1A trophy. Craig Houmand, Jordan, and Scott Kowallis, Union, were the outstanding performers In their divisions, Saturday's performers will be trying to establish some new records in the 18 events. |
