She performed a variety of tasks while interning there. She would observe patient procedures while assisting the physical therapist by getting heat and ice packs. She would learn different stretches and exercises to build up and strengthen a patient following surgery or an injury. "My interest for physical therapy came through my love for coaching gymnastics, and I really enjoy interning as a physical therapist," Candace said. Candace decided to intern as a physical therapist because of how much the human body intrigues her, and because she loves working with people. Fossils come to Landmark Landmark High School received a donation of rocks, fossils, meteorites and other items to the school's science department. The items were donated by Ted Davies and Seth Sorensen. Patrick Hogle, science teacher at LHS, received the donation from Davies on Wednesday, March 24. 'The donation included dinosaur bones, megalodon and fossilized shark teeth, a mammoth tooth, a huge trilobite fossil, a brain endocast fossil, a mammal skull fossil, amber, which is fossilized pine tree sap which contains insects, coprolite (fossilized dinosaur feces), a real meteorite and other valuable fossils. Candace Wride After graduating, Candace is planning to attend Brigham Young University. She is not quite sure if this is what she will be doing for her future career, but she is loving the experience. Following Peak's Therapy, she is now interning in Payson at Physical and Sports Therapy Services. ALA American Sign Language team SFHS McKenna West Sophomore McKenna West is the daughter of Brady and Patrice West of Spanish Fork. She maintains a 3.92 GPA and her favorite classes include .English and Social Dance. McKenna is a sophomore rep. on student council and plays tennis for SFHS. In her free time she enjoys reading; the best book she's read recently is "Ghost of a Chance." On a road trip, McKenna would travel to California and would listen to alternative rock. ASL-lympics is a statewide high school competition for ASL students with various categories including signing, deaf culture/history and deaf art. ALA won the following awards: deaf culture/history level one, 3rd place: Ethan Blair, Destinee Powell and Kyle Gowers; sign language receptive level two, 1st place Aimee Muhlestein, 3rd place Ashli Cooper; sign language expressive level 1, 3rd place Kenyon McConahay; and deaf art (traditional), 2nd place Kate Jarman.
