She took the mound for the Dons against Stansbury and pitched an entire game, giving up only two runs in Spanish Fork's victory over the Stallions. At the plate, Kramer also had the score-tieing RBI in the sixth. Kramer said she enjoys pitching "because I know I have my team to back me up." She also plays soccer for the Lady Dons. Adding to the first-place team effort was Jordan Cuthbert's second-place finish in the 110m hurdles. Jordan's time of 16.30 was his best of the year. Distance ace Spencer Hanson won the mile run in 4:37. Jeff Brammer won the 400m dash in 50.70, while teammates Brent Strong and Aundrae Giles placed third and eighth. In the 300m hurdles, Eddie Prothero ran 43.9 to earn sixth, while Spencer Hanson came back to place fourth in the 800m run at 2:06. The medley relay team of Zach Johnson, Kevin Muirbrook, Chris Clark and Brent Strong placed third overall. In the 3200m run Spencer Hanson placed third at 9:54. Maple Mountain thrower Hudson Sheranian threw the discus 126' 4" to place second. Rounding out the scoring for the Golden Eagles was Parker Cressman* winning the high jump at 6' 4", with Chris Clark placing fourth at 5'8". Brooke Kramer SPORTS The Sentinel Timpview High School was the site Thursday and Friday for the annual Timpanogos Invitational track and field championships. Snow, wind and cold couldn't keep 13 high schools from showing up to battle the elements. With an occasional glimpses of sunshine, local athletes from Maple Mountain and Salem Hills came away with numerous medals and trophies. The Lady Skyhawks earned the second-place trophy, with the following athletes placing in the scoring top eight. Siale Vaitohi won the 100m hurdles in a time of 16:45. Sr. Cosette Stone placed fourth in the 1600m run with a time of 5:36. The 300m hurdle event saw Jo Julian place fifth in 50.90, while Karlee Loss ran the half-mile event in 2:37 to earn sixth place. In the 3200m run Salem Hills' Diana Moreva placed fifth in 13:04. The mile relay team placed fifth in 4:55. Field events produced a big day from Salem's Erica Adams, as she won the javelin at 109' 4". Teammate Jamie Hodson was fifth at 88', while Kinsley Oates placed sixth at 84' II". In the shot put Erica Adams placed second with a throw of 31'6". Elisa Elder placed seventh with a throw of 28'. The discus event saw Erica Adams come up big again with a second-place throw of 86' 9". Siale Vaitohi took the high jump gold with a 5' 2" leap, while Elisa Elder placed fourth at 4' 10". Long jumpers Vaitohi and Julian placed fourth and fifth with identical leaps of 15'1". For the Lady Golden Eagles, a good group of athletes came up with great marks in leading their team to a fifth-place overall finish. Freshman Tifany Gomm placed sixth in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.71. Haley Stonehocker finished fourth in the 100m dash at 13.44. The Eagle 4xl00m relay team of Peay, Stonehocker, Jones and Anderson took gold with a time of 52.5. In the 400m dash, freshman Jensen Williams placed fourth in 1:03. Tiffany Gomm came back to run the 300m hurdles in 51.3 to earn fifth place. Kelsie Hadlock took third in the 800m run at 2:30. Ashley Phelps placed fourth in the 3200m run in 13:00. The 4x400m relay team placed third overall. In the javelin, Wesli Peay took seventh at 84'11". For the boys, Salem Hills saw a good group of kids perform well in leading their team to a fifth-place finish. Reese Knudson placed fifth in the 110m hurdles at 17:05. The 400m event saw the Adams brothers, Blake and Josh, place fifth and sixth in 52.4 and 53.1, respectively. Jade Spencer placed sixth in the 200m dash at 24.69.
