Show 18C Friday, December 15, 1889 The Summit County Bee Christmas With John Conti the rest of the family at 5 a.m. to open presents. He also remembers singing in the Christmas tree at the Cottonwood Mall. As the got a little older his involvement changed to Christmas shopping at the crowded malls, caroling and going to Christmas parties. The Christmas present he remembers best is the first dog he got when he was nine, an Apsolapsoe, named Teddy. John gets the Christmas spirit by shopping, decorating, writing Christmas cards, and listening to Christmas music. The best thing about the Christmas season is that it is a time for giving and spending time with family and friends. Glad Tidings Old fashioned nlslirs for friendship and fun this Yulelide. For the past year, he has worked there on a part-tim- e basis working weekends and substituting when either of the regular workers has days off. John and his wife, Danelle, live in Midvale. John is originally from Midvale while Danelle lived in Mobile, Alabama, and Colorado Springs before coming to Utah. The Conti's are expecting their first child sometime in June. With special thanks for your patronage and good will, we wish you a very happy holiday. Recently, John received a permanent transfer to the Sandy Post Office, where he is a mail carrier. So, John won't be coming to Coalville as much any more, just when needed until someone can replace him here. Those who know John will probably agree that he is a genuinely friendly person, and makes you feel welcome at the post office. John agreed to tell us a few of his feelings and remembrances of Christmas.
