"It's just that I want Brad back!" and with that I started upstairs to my room to where I cried myself to sleep. Suddenly the Christmas holidays crept nearer and it was Christmas Eve. Tomorrow, I would find many bright colored presents under the tree with my name on them. But none that held what I wanted this Christmas. For some reason, I could not go to sleep that night. I knew it wasn't from excitement. Just hopefully, dreaming, I could see life back into the body of Bred. But inside I knew what tomorrow would bring. The next morning, I awakened to the sun shining brightly through my window. Pulling myself out of "Hello?" "Hi, Taree come to the hospital quick, its Brad..." Without another word, I fled to my car, tears streaming down my face. Fumbling with my keys I finally put the keys in the ignition. When I had finally made it to the hospital. Brad's parents led me to Brad's room. From the look on his parent's faces, I knew it had to be bad. But then I opened the door to see Brad sitting up in bed. It was my sister's senior year in high school and we all realized that she would be leaving us and going to college very soon. In fact, it would be sooner than we thought We started in October to design her a gift that she would cherish and keep forever. We finally started it and worked on it for many weeks. When it was finished, it was a beautiful shiny finished cedar chest Made out of the finest grains of oak, it had a cedar bottom and back. The front was enhanced with a beautiful golden enhanced design, stretching from one corner to the other. We loaded it up in the back of our truck, being careful not to scratch the smooth shiny finish that shined off the wood. We took it to grandma's house to put it in storage until Christmas came closer. I thought about it many times while it was in storage. Each time I could only think of how she would react On Christmas Eve day, we went and got the cedar chest out of storage and put it back in the track. We put a blanket around it to hide it FOR YOUR HOLIDAY ENJOYMENT Potpourri - simmering potpourri Oil all flavors Fire starters at The Bee Office Kamas |
