Show Thursday, March 25,1 993 P Page C5 The Park Record D Section C Institute of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery at Park City opens by TOM CRAM Record guest writer As the numbers of Park City residents in their Salt Lake office increased, Dr. Larry Leonard, and Dr. Daniel Sellers realized there was an un-adressed need in Park City. This has led to the opening of their new clinic. The clinic addresses the problematic commute to and froni Salt Lake City. " We were seeing a good number of Park City residents, and decided to take our business to them, and eliminate the drive," says Dr. Sellers. The office is located in the Summit Physical Therapy Building, 1255 Iron Horse Drive. It is a shared office with the Cottonwood Spine Institute, run by Dr. Bone. They are open on Wednesday's for consultations. "It doesn't cost to talk," says Dr. Sellers "if a potential patient is curious about procedure, they can just call." The cosmetic surgeries are mostly of the hand surgery, or reconstructive surgery variety. Facelifts, Rhinoplasty, Lypo-sucuon, Lypo-sucuon, and breast surgeries of all kinds are available to the patient as well. In skiing, hand injuries are very common, but reparable. This type of surgery also happens to be Dr. Sellers' specialty. "The Park City patient is generally very health concious," says Sellers, "we are hoping to add to their ability to feel good about themselves." Dr. Sellers finished his residency in 1986, and Dr. Leonard Groups will gather Park City ChamberBureau reports that 12 groups plan to meet in Park City for the week of March 28-April 3, 1993. They are the following: Office of Family Support; Intermountain Health; Utah " State University Energy Conference, Schuss Meisters; Covey-Mass Mutual; Collegeville Ski Group; Douglas Clark Group; Division of Substance Abuse; Corning; U of U Chemistry Department; Pratt Pharmaceuticals; Zimmerman Ski Group. The clinic is more than just an annex to their Salt Lake office. It is intended to provide the patient with pre-surgery and post surgery care, close to home. "Our philosophy is to look at cosmetic surgery as functional, for everyday folks who just want to make an improvement in their apperance and self-esteem," Dr Sellers says. The patient at the clinic is provided with a casual and comfortable atmosphere, designed to be low pressure. "If a procedure is not right for a patient we will agree," says Sellers. "We like to view the clinic as a repository of information, available at the patient's request," he adds. "The clinic also is appealing to out-of-towners, not only because plastic surgery is less expensive in Utah , but because the visitor can leave Park City looking refreshed, tanned, and great," In addition to their practice in Utah Dr. Leonard and Dr. Sellers are involved with international health care. Dr. Leonard is a member of InterPlast, and Dr. Sellers is a member of Operation Smile. These organizations travel to foreign countries to provide volunteer health care to those in need. 3E; Red Hawk Ranch presents The Third Annual Tennis Ball cil i Li.. ri-:u. rarK uty scnooi uistnci 4 SB Saturday, March 27,1993 at The Yarrow Hotel, New CEO named at snowbird Resort Ray Gardiner, a highly respected and prominent attorney and civic leader in Salt Lake City, has been named Chief Executive Officer of Snowbird Ski and Summer Resort.
