What exactly they wanted them for is unclear. However, they did manage to damage two street signs and a stop sign in the process. They were gone by the time officers arrived. Police were called to a fight at Prospector Square March 16 at 2:50 a.m. One of the brawlers was taken to the clinic with injuries, another was arrested for having a firearm in conjunction with a fight. Tuesday, March 16, police investigated reports that unknown culprits had tossed items off of the deck of a Racquet Club Condo and damaged a vehicle parked at the high school. Perhaps it was to be expected, but police were called to three separate incidents . of noise violations , (read: parties) on the eve of St. Patrick's Day. In the wee, wee hours of the morning St. Paddy's Day, one resident of Marsac Avenue had a rude awakening. She reported being jolted awake by an explosion loud enough to shake her house. Just down the street at the Marsac building, dispatch hadn't heard anything, but had officers check it out anyway. They were unable to find the cause of the disturbance. After celebrating St. Patrick's Day a bit too successfully, a 32-year-old Park City man was arrested for public intoxication after he was found passed out on the corner of 5th Street and Swede Alley'. Two Park City men, ages 19 and 24, were arrested for public intoxication and booked into the Summit County Jail after brawling in front of Pop Jenks at 1 it gives entirely new to the pfirase "face any rate, meaning plant. ) Who could make these things up? Some ambitious worker shoveling the roof of the Stag Lodge was reported by a city bus driver March 19 after he or she chucked snow out into Royal Street East , Around noon the same day, a concerned business owner on Norfolk reported that truck was parked blocking the stairs to his Police Blotter a.m. March 18. Police investigated the theft of a concrete blanket March 18 from a new home site in Fairway Hills. (Just exactly what is a concrete blanket, anyway?) Dogmestic Violence? Officers were called to a Deer Valley Drive apartment March 18 around 7:30 p.m. to keep the peace between a manager and tenant who were arguing over Man's Best Friend. The officers didn't say whether or not Fido got to stay. An Illinois man reported the theft of his personalized plates March 19, which read "EYE-SKI" from the Snow Country Condos. It is unclear whether the slogan on his license plates referred to his nationality or skiing ability. (At facility, making it difficult for customers to negotiate the trip while carrying their skis. An officer arrived on the scene and spoke with the driver of the vehicle, who was settling up with the tow truck at the time. Guests at a Solamere Condo called the police March 19 after returning to their room in time to hear a sliding glass door slam shut and to see someone flee down the street and hop on a city bus. Fortunately, nothing seemed to be missing. (And it's a good thing too, because their description of "a large person with a dark ponytail" fits about half of the patrons in the Alamo any given night) An officer who was .patrolling around the Sidewinder 7-Eleven March 20 made the acquaintance of a less than sober individual, who was brandishing a set of car keys. The officer confiscated said keys and offered to return them at the Marsac building when the individual was sober. The suspense must have been killing him. An individual with a warrant out for his arrest turned himself in to police March 20. He then posted $420 bail (so he would be taken off of the Statewide . warrant system) and went merrily on his way. ! Hey, lady. Wanta buy a ten-key? A woman a Deer Valley Plaza complained to police March 20 that two males had walked into her office without knocking, and then wanted to sell her a calculator, adding insult to injury; Police summed up the situation, found the pair with the product, and sent them packing for the remainder of the day-or at least until they bought a business license. Go figure. The clerk at a local convenience store reported March 20 that a 9-y 9-y ear-old girl had stolen a candy bar. However, nothing was found on her person by the officer. Between 'quarter to six and quarter after eight on the evening of March 20, police officers issued 10 parking citations. A concerned citizen reported to police at 9:35 p.m. March 20 that she believed she had seen a suspect on the show "America's Most Wanted'' in Park City. -tern- a. 1 lv.
