Show Committee study delayed FARMINGTON-The Davis County Commission announced the report of the committee assigned to study the countys paramedic program pro-gram will be postponed for another two to three weeks. This is the second time the report to the commission has been put off since the committee was formed by the Council of Governments to study whether the program should . remain under the Sheriff's department depart-ment or be handled by local fire and police departments. In addition, the public hearing from the committee, which was scheduled for Nov. 29, has also been moved back. Commissioner Robert Rose indicated in-dicated that the three-member committee is having trouble getting the information together to make its report. Chief Deputy K.D. Simpson said the information is readily available, -but the intricacies of studying just a small portion of the emergency response program is staggering. "You cant just look at the paramedic program alone," he said. "The entire emergency program has to be examined because each part ties in with the others. Trying to separate them is almost impossible." impossi-ble." A new date for the committee's report and public hearing will be set when the committee has finished compiling the information. |
