Show Cats have 'euphoric' feeling By DAVE MOODY It is the best of times, it is the age of wisdom, it is the epoch of belief, it is the season of light, it is the spring of hope, we have everything before us, we are all going directly to Heaven-in short, this is the general gen-eral feeling of Woods Cross High. There is a principal with a medium sized jaw, and some receptionists recep-tionists with fair faces. It is the year of Our Lord one thousand nine hundred and ninety. And there is a wrestling meet at Granite today (Wednesday). Woods Cross vs. Bountiful Jan. 19. The sport is basketball, the place is our gym. Don't miss this game. The 20th day of January brings with it a Davis High tourney for the wrestlers, and the 3A state diving meet Also, this day is 'A Time For Love." This refers to the theme for Junior Prom. It is at the Marriott Hotel from 8:30 through 11:30. Tickets are $12 in advance and $15 at the door. Royalty for this dance are: long and queen, Taylor Clark and Lindi Linton; first attendants, Jason Smith and Erika Revell; second se-cond attendants, Dave Wright and Nanette Clark; third attendant, Brady Dransfield and Wendee Harris. Something that needs to be cleared up is this Wildcat of the Week thing. When you read about the Wildcat of the Week, it is actually actu-ally the Wildcat of last Week. Just thought Id point that out The Wildcat of the Week for the last week was Denise Boam. Denise loves to train horses and does it often. She dislikes fighting with her sisters and likes to be around animals Denise thinks Woods Cross is a nice place to go to school because of the fun classes and good faculty. Her favorite subjects are math and French. Denise is friendly and outgoing and we're proud to have her at Woods Cross High. That's it for this week, and incidentally, in-cidentally, that's it for the next couple cou-ple of months (for me that is). Our English Sterling Scholar, Lisa Norman, will be taking the helm for a bit while I take a nice hiatus from writing this. I guess I won't be terrorizing ter-rorizing the Clipper staff for a while. And by the way, did you know that Clipper spelled backwards is Reppilc. Coincidence? Coin-cidence? Maybe, maybe not. You decide. |
