Show Bonnet Ball Softball clinic begins Jan. 18 The Utah Bonnet Ball Clinics for all Davis County girls will get underway this week. The first session ses-sion will be Thursday, Jan. 18, and the program will run through Mar. 15. The clinics are held on Thursday Thurs-day evenings throughout the program pro-gram and will be held at Granger High School, 3600 W. 3500 S. The purpose of the clinics will be two-fold: first, to improve skills in pitching; and, second, to improve all skills, such as batting, fielding, running and safety. The clinics will begin at 5 p.m. with the first 45 minutes devoted to the skills of pitching. At 5:45 p.m. the emphasis will change to all skills. Those who come at 5 p.m. may stay through the entire session, or the girls may come and go in be tween, as they wish. For the pitching pit-ching clinic, and also the all skills, parents are encouraged to come and participate with the girls. This year the clinics will be coached by Brendan Keehan, a New Zealander who is well respected in the Softball arena. Girls interested in trying out for accelerated programs pro-grams are strongly encouraged to attend the clinics. The cost of the clinics will be a $15 one-time charge, which will include in-clude all the sessions. There will be no refund for sessions not attended. Bring your mitt, catching gear and your enthusiasm. Most questions will be answered in the first session by Mr. Keehan. Otherwise, call Lynette, 295-9392. |
