Show New garbage cans on the way for Woods Cross By JANIS STUART WOODS CROSS-Don't buy new garbage cans was the message for Woods Cross residents from the City Council members. In a three part motion, the council Voted to give the city permission to sign a solid waste pickup agreement, to-" purchase new garbage cans and to pursue financing. The pickup agreement is for a five year contract with Valley Waste of Heber City. The refuse containers, called Snyder cans, will- be purchased from Vickers. A sample of the can was taken before city council members for approval. The financing will be looked into and possibilities presented before the council for final approval. If purchasing and receiving the garbage cans can be arranged before the seasonal increase of refuse, the system will be put into operation. However, if implemehia-' tion of the process would hit during the year's peak garbage pickup time around Christmas, it will be postponed until after the first of the year. -- |
