Show Fire protection and liability insurance topped the agenda at City Council meeting The council also agreed to a "supplemental" casualty and liability liabi-lity insurance plan which will benefit the city's self-funding insurance in-surance program. Under the self-funding program of the city, the city will be responsible responsi-ble for all claims up to $300,000 and for payment of claims over $ 1 .5 million, Mr. Hardy explained. Payment of claims between $500,000 and $U million will be from Olympus Insurance Company of Salt Lake City. The annual premium for this additional insurance in-surance is $58,000. By GARY R. BLODGETT BOUMTFUL - Signing of an interlocal agreement for fire protection protec-tion and a new program of liability insurance topped the list of Bountiful Boun-tiful City Council actions last Wednesday night. The council agreed to renew an interlocal agreement with neighboring neighbor-ing cities and county which outlines procedures of fire departments while assisting other communities in fire emergencies. "The policy is the same as in past years,", said Bountiful City Manager Tom Hardy. "City fire departments will respond to fires in neighboring communities upon request re-quest from that city." But the agreement stipulates that all liability while at the scene, or traveling to and from the fire, will be that of the responding city.
