The Family Support . Center is located just north of (he Social Services office. Please register by calling , the , Human, Resource Center at 546-4 134. , , '". Turning Point will run everyday for six weeks from 8:45-10:40 a-m. -The; class focuses on five main ' areas: self-esteem building, assertive asser-tive communication skills, life management skills, resource , management skills, and career development. de-velopment. The class is geared for single parents and displaced homemakers; however, anyone can attend.1 Turning Point assists individuals in-dividuals in making the transiuon from home or school to the world of work. Class size is limited, so sign up now for this informative class! Adult high school credit is available. Life Management is a 30-hour class taught at the Davis Area Vocational Voca-tional Center in Room B-104. Life management runs daily for four ' weeks from July 10 through Aug. 4, from 11:30 to 12:55 p.m.. Life ; Management is similar to Turning Point, only it is half; the length. Life - Management , helps individuals feel better about . themselves, gain control of their - lives, and communicate more effec-' effec-' Uyely at home as well as on the job. Study Skills will run daily from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday,- for two weeks. ; Study Skills will be held at" the Davis Area Vocational Center from July 10-21. This fun class assists individuals in developing study habits. Concentration, outlining, listening skills, memory aids, and other topics ' will . be , covered.
