' I Bom March 30, 1903 at Sparta White County, Tennessee to Lee Vander Hale and Mertic Randolph. ' She was the fifth of eleven children. Married Oscar Phillip Mays May 10, 1923 at Onieda Scott Co., Tennessee. Ten-nessee. Later divorced. Four children were bom to this couple. Three passed away as children. Their oldest son Cleatus, passed away Feb. 5. 1976 at age 52. Linnie was converted to the IDS Church while living in Tennessee. 'She was a faithful member of the church arid always ready and willing will-ing to help people in all walks of life. : " The family moved to Utah in the 1930's, living in Salt Lake and Davis Counties. Linnie's husband . Oscar was blind the last 30 years of his life, the result of a coal mine accident Linnie worked hard all of her life to take care of her husband and family, fami-ly, v .i.;v. Unnie married Henley Blevins Aug. 16, 1960 in Onieda Scott Co., Tennessee. He passed away Aug; 5, 1978 m Bountiful. Married Lafayette P. Alvey, July 1, 1987 in Elko, Nev. i She is survived by her husband, North Salt Lake; sisters, Carrie Watters, Nashville, Tennessee; Ruth Andersen, Salt Lake City; four grandsons and one granddaughter, eleven great-grandchildren; several nephews ami nieces; many friends. Funeral services were held May ' UNNIE LOU ALVEY- 15 in the Russon Brothers Mortuary ChapeL Interment in the Bountiful City Cemetery. . |
