Show This school year ends on high note By HILLARY HUEFNER Hello. This is your " friendly neighborhood . reporter, reporting from KBHS, your "easy listening' station. You may ask, "Why do I . call it 'easy listening' when the day '; planners of every student here at Bountiful High are crowded with times scheduled for pre-AP test homework, end of school activities : and-tryouts for next year's ac-r ac-r tides."Tn tefl you: I don't know. But because of these activities, this year is sure to end on a high note and next year will be off to a good , start v ; A few weeks ago, Cristie Davis attended a luncheon given for those students whose essays earned them . the right to attend the Freedom Foundation Conference at Valley , Forge. At the time, Cristie said she didn't know a single person there, but that she was really excited. Cristie returned home Sunday night It was a once in a lifetime experience. ex-perience. The Monday after Cristie returned, re-turned, she performed with Xela in the XelaPhenix final concert The conceit was a great success. All the emotions and experiences of the year were packed into two intense hours. The popular saying "Phenix ; has boots but Xela kicks'.' was proven pro-ven true that night A year's worm of memories will also be presented at the Chamber final concert tonight at 7:30. Certainly, Cer-tainly, the life-long friendships that were developed and the musical excellence that has been achieved will be evident at this performance. The spring choral concert will be this coming Monday and Tuesday. The money earned from this concert, con-cert, when combined with the money earned from the other concerts con-certs and money donated by the dfama and band departments, will rhelp-ptiy for a new sound system for Uhe auditorium. Yeah! A last note about the choir department Good luck to all those juniors and sophomores who plan on trying out for one of next year's choirs. It's a scary job, but someone has to do it The Debate Children's Theater - company will be presenting "Duck Tales" on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. If you think .seeing students in orange webbed feet, : beaks, and tails would be inter- .' esting, be sure to come. ' i . Baseball playoffs continue today, the state soccer tournament begins tomorrow,- the track state cham- , pionship at BYU begins Friday, and the baseball state championship games begin Monday. Good luck to all of those teams. Congratulations ' to Stephanie Reading, who won second se-cond place in shot put at the BYU Invitational last Saturday. Just a note to all involved parties.
