Tip-off Tip-off is at the regular 8 p.m. time with both games preceded by the jayvee contest at 6:15. Carbon led Provo club when they played them at Price in the opener and came close to whipping the Bulldogs. They hold a 1 and 1 record along with Springville and Spanish Fork. Devils win two Springville averaged 89 points compared to their opponents' oppon-ents' 58 in their two impressive impres-sive victories during the past week. The first win last Wednesday Wed-nesday came at the expense of Kearns whom the Devils soundly sound-ly trounced 93-50. Kearns led the Devils 16-13 at the end of the first qurater, but with Whiting, Mason, Killpack, Hall and Miner hitting the hoop, the Red Devils poured through 24 points in the second quarter and added 33 in the third to sweep to victory. Hitting high and playing outstanding out-standing ball for the Devils were Captain Mason with 20, Whiting with 19, Hall with 18 and Miner and Killpack each with 10. Only one Kearns player play-er hit in the double figures. Friday night the Spingville club pasted the Bingham Miners Min-ers 66-85. Pictures were shot in the northwest territory of the Mackenzie Mac-kenzie Mountains of Canada. The film will be shown at the Springville Junior High School next Monday and Tuesday. |
