Show City loses court battle; parking on Main Street to be parallel City fathers, after legal counsel, coun-sel, regarding the parallel parking park-ing problem, were of the opinion opin-ion that it did not appear that the possibility of success in the long run would warrant the city spending additional cost of continuing the litigation and that it had been recommended that the city accept the conclusions conclu-sions reached by the District Court and abide by its recent decision. After considering the matter further, it was moved by Councilman Frank Memory and seconded by Councilman Leonard James that the city take no further legal action and accept the recommendations recommenda-tions made. This action passed unanimously at council meeting Tuesday night. Richard Benson of UVIDA, met with the council concerning the use of the city pasture lands. The council agreed to take an advertisement in the Progress Pro-gress Edition of the Daily Herald Her-ald for Feb. 25. Councilman Earl Child recommended rec-ommended that the city complete com-plete the agreement made earlier ear-lier this year in connection with the acquisition of the Zu-felt Zu-felt and Nash properties for road purposes.
