Show 'Curtain Time USA' talk enjoyed by club Gary Lawrence, who accompanied accom-panied the BYU entertainment group, "Curtain Time USA," on travels abroad last year, described des-cribed experiences in the many countries visited, at the Home Culture Club meeting Friday of last week. Mrs. Waldo Jackson was the hostess for the meeting attend-;d attend-;d by 21 members and two quests, Mrs. Sylvia Crandall, md Mrs. Claude Smith. In connection with his talk, VIr. Lawrence also showed a lumber of interesting slides of '.he many foreign lands in vhich the students performed. The meeting was in charge )f Mrs. Harrison Conover, jresident. She asked Mrs. Max Mleman to read the club col-ect col-ect and the secretary, Mrs. tonald Thorpe, to read a res-. olution of respect to the memory mem-ory of one of the members, Mrs. Harold Christensen. She said a copy of the resolution had been sent to the family. The club then paid silent tribute tri-bute to Mrs. Christensen. Next meeting of the club was announced for January 21, to be at the home of Catherine D. Wills, where Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Elison will give an afternoon af-ternoon of music. The home of Helen Measom was the meetng place for the December program of Camp Cottonwood DUP, Thursday of last week. The program featured fea-tured a history of the early pioneer, William Huntington, presented by a great granddaughter, grand-daughter, Mrs. Eva Johnson. The January lesson on the history of James Ririe and James Archibald was given by class leader, Margaret Snelson. |
