Show LCB Club hears native of Wales Miss Muriel Thole, a former form-er resident of Wales, employed at BYU, compared women of the U.S. with those of England Eng-land and Wales, at a meeting of the LCB Club Thursday evening of last week. Mrs. Carma Car-ma Rasmussn was hostess. It was the first meeting of the new club year. British men have the last word and they are literally "king of their castles," she told the group. Women are never seen in public with curlers cur-lers in their hair and wearing slacks, she said. There are comparatively few electrical appliances in the average home in her country and it is really something to own a vacuum or toaster, she noted. The new officers, Helen Whitney, Mary Giles and Norma Nor-ma Martinez, distributed personalized per-sonalized club books to the members. Barbara Mortensen received a gift from her secret se-cret pal and Bonnie Phillips received the door prize. Next meeting is to be January Janu-ary 20, at the home of Audrey Carter. |
