Show Business opens in new shop With completion of the new building, housing the Averett-Rowland Averett-Rowland Barber Shop, this week, comes the opening of one of the most modern tpye barber bar-ber shops in the first building constructed exclusively for a barber shop in Springville. The building, used formerly for the barber shop, has been razed, marking the close of a varied and colorful history dating back to its construction in 1910, by Dave Brinton. It has been used through the years as a coal yard, a bakery, when bread was baked in an oven using sage brush wood, then as a confectionary, a cafe and confectionary, a service station in connection with a cafe and coal yard, a feed store and finally remodeled remod-eled for a barber shop in 1947, by the prsent operators. The new shop at 81 South Main, has all the modern new facilities of present day barber bar-ber shops and the operators invite friends and patrons to call in and see the fine new facilities. |
