Show JellA rioted .... Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Beardall have returned from a most delightful de-lightful three-week's vacation and visit in California with their families. They were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Beardall and family at Orange; of Mr. and Mrs. James C. Beardall and daughter at Glen-dale Glen-dale and Mr. and Mrs. Richard P. (Carol) Ivie and family at Pamona. During their stay, they saw the first filming of Art Linkletter's Talent Scouts; attended "The Christmas Carol," Car-ol," at the Little Theatre in Glendale and visited Universal Studios where "The Munsters," and western TV shows were being filmed. They also went to San Diego and to Tiajuana, Mexico, enjoying the big ships in dock for the holidays. They also saw the Rose Parade at Pasadena. Mr. and Mrs. Keith Beardall Bear-dall and family have moved to Kansas, where he has been transferred in his work for Hercules. They previously lived at Brookside. The Springville Senior Citizen-sponsored tour to the Rose Parade at Pasadena. Calif., returned re-turned Thursday of last week, with reports of a most delightful delight-ful time from everyone. The tour included 46 people, with the following from Springville: r. and Mrs. Lyman Mellor, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Ewing, Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Clark, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Bird Brown, Mrs. Mattye Mills, Mrs. Mildred Boorman; also Mr. and Mrs. Fay Llewellyn Llew-ellyn of Murray and Mr. and Mrs. Max Brown of Provo, former residents of Springville. Angus and Odessa Christiansen conducted the tour. Other members of the party were from Salt Lake Provo, and other surrounding towns. Highlights High-lights of the trip included New Year's Eve dinner at Knotts Berry Farm, viewing the pa rade, a trip to Disneyland and Forest Lawn and a tour up the coast highway to San Francisco, with stops at Car-mel-by-the-Sea, Hurst Castle, the Danish town of Solzang and other interesting points, returning by way of Reno, Nevada. Word was received here, this week, stating that Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Blackett of Lyn-wood, Lyn-wood, Calif., former residents of Springville, just returned from a visit with their daughter daugh-ter and son-in-law, Chief of Police and Mrs. Charles Myers of Wheatland, Calif. The event was to celebrate the Myers' 25th wedding annivrsary. The Myers have two married children, chil-dren, Robert Myers and Sharon Haggard, and four grandchildren; grandchild-ren; also a son and daughter at home, Ronald, 20, and Bren-da Bren-da 15. Mr. and Mrs. Blackett also visited another daughter, Thelma Reil of Hayward, and the Oakland Temple. |
