Show Annual spawn of cisco starts Based on past records, the annual spawning run of Bonne-vile Bonne-vile Cisco in Bear Lake should be getting underway during the next week, Department of Fish and Game spokesmen said today. The earliest date recorded for the spawning run was January Jan-uary 9, 1962. The latest date has been January 19 in 1963 and 1964. The run has lasted an average of 12 or 13 days since 1959. Persons planning a trip to this large two-state fishing water wa-ter to participate in the special season are reminded to be especially es-pecially mindful of the daily bag limits. Daily bag limits on the Cisco is 50 per day and possssion limit is the same. Resident juvenile ju-venile fishermen under 12, for whom no license is required, the daily bag and possesion limit is 4 fish. Since the fish are easily caught, many anglers have neglected ne-glected to keep accurate count of their catch and consequently have been issued citations to appear in court when overlim-its overlim-its have been observed by Department De-partment officers. Dip nets used for taking these small fish may not have an opening greater than 18 inches in any dimension. As in past years, netting is expected to be best along the east shore of the lake from Nebeker Ranch to Rainbow Point. This area may be reached reach-ed by way of Laketown, Utah. |
