Square Dance On Friday, July 23 there will be a square dance at the tennis ten-nis court on the town park. Bruce Butler from BYU will be the caller, and everyone who enjoys square dancing or watching wat-ching others dance is invited to come. Plans are well underway for a big 24th of July celebration in Mapleton Saturday. Both wards as well as the clubs of the town are cooperating to make the day a big success. The Jaycees will begin at 6 a.m. awakening the town and urging everyone to come out and join n the fun. Breakfast will be served on the town park at 6:30 a.m. by the bish-rics bish-rics of both wards. A miniature parade will begin be-gin at 9 a.m. on the corner of 600 East and Maple Street. The primaries of both wards are sponsoring the parade, but anyone from Mapleton or Springville who has a float or something they would like to enter in the parade is invited to do so. Stands on the park will open at 9 a.m. There will be a fish pond, dart games and bake sale in addition to the usual concessions. conces-sions. Children's races will begin be-gin at 11:30 with prizes for the winners. The Little League will have two ball games during the day, one at 10:30 a.m. and |
