Show Club hears talk on French literature Mrs. Mae Huntington gave a talk on French Literature at a meeting of the Ladies Literary Lit-erary Club Thursday evening, when Mrs. John Y. Bearnson was hostess. She had as her guests, her mother, Mrs. Ella Reynolds, Mrs. Blanch Ostlund and Veronica Ver-onica Rose, the latter assisting her in serving a nicely arranged arrang-ed tray luncheon before the program. Mrs. Huntington reviewed the various periods in French Literature, mentioning characteristics charac-teristics of each, giving the names of writers and reviewing review-ing briefly their works. Mrs. Huntington was introduced intro-duced by Mrs. Julia Sumsion, in charge of the program. Mrs. C. A. Smith, president, conducted and asked Mrs. Bel-va Bel-va Edwards to read the club collect. Mrs. Berton Groesbeck spoke of the Legislative Council Coun-cil meeting. The next meeting of the club was announced for Jan. 21, at the home of Mrs. G. Lowry Anderson. Crop production is now 70 per cent higher per acre, output out-put per breeding animal is 90 per cent greater and one hour of farm labor produces more than four times as much as it did in the period from 1919 to 1921. |
