Show Indian placements explained at club Mauray Payne, in charge of Indian children placements in this area, was the guest speaker speak-er at the meeting of the Jeune Mere Club Wednesday, at Barts. Mrs. Lenore Bills and Mrs. Marilyn Tuttle were hostesses host-esses and Mrs. Payne was an invited guest, as were Mrs. Vivian Averett and Mrs. Esther Es-ther Hurst. Mr. Payne noted that there are approximately 950 Indian children placed in homes and attending schools in Utah and Arizona in the current LDS program. He said that the program pro-gram is the only one of its kind in the world, where one cultured group is taking iin another an-other group and teaching them their culture. It is expected to result in educated leaders in church and civic affairs. The project prize was awarded award-ed to Mrs. Margaret Blackett. Next meeting of the club was announced for February 3, to be at the home of Mrs. Mabel Ma-bel Wright. A good way to store flower pots: take a strong cord and tie a big knot (bigger than the holes in the pots) on the cord. Then slide the flower pots on to the cord through the drainage drain-age holes. After the pots are strung on the cord, hang the cord from a hook or shelf in the garage or basement. |
