Th accordin5 to ;he wii,rie'B' a really exciting packed experience. k Glen Ruff as pilot, and Dave Anderson as co-pilot, won 1st place in class four of Die annual an-nual canyon country river marathon boat race held last Saturday on the Green and Colorado River. Glen's time was chalked at four hours 36 minutes and 53 seconds. The annual race, sponsored by Green River and Moab, begins be-gins at Green River and continues con-tinues down to the confluence of the Colorado and then to Moab, a distance of 182 miles. The class 4 division is a pleasure plea-sure boat classification. There were 7 boats competing in this class using 70-80 h.p. motors. Over 60 boats were in the race. Winning the race was a thrilling experience according to Mr. Ruff.
