Show Mapleton Hews Mrs. Blake Everett Phone 489-4837 David Whiting, young son of Mr. and Mrs. Juan Whitng, narrowly escaped serious injury Saturday. He was attempting to tie up a neighbors horse, when it whirled around and kicked him in the chest, knocking knock-ing the breath from him. The fire department was called to help revive him and he was taken to the Utah Valley Hospital. Hos-pital. There were no broken bones, and he was released from the hospital Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Johnson and children, Nancy and Parley, Par-ley, returned last week from a vacation in California. They spent most of their time in Santa Fe Springs with Mr. and Mrs. Henry Angus and their family. Their daughter Carolyn and husband Mr. and Mrs. George Fiedorowiecz have come from Wisconsin to spend a few wp.eks with them. Carolyn's Caro-lyn's friend, Miss Rita Petti-cord Petti-cord of Wamega, Kansas is visiting vi-siting there for a few days before be-fore going to California. The Everett's other daughter and family, Mr .and Mrs. Kay Roberts Ro-berts of Chino, California, will be here this week to join the family gathering; and their son Duane is expected to come from Logan and bring his fiancee, fi-ancee, Miss Gayle Bergeson of Ogden to meet his family. Mrs. Adele Miller has been in Mississippi for several weeks visiting with relatives there. At Rolling Fork, Mississippi, she stayed with her mother, Mrs. Lander James, whom slie had not seen in 27 years. She was joined there by her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Dean Young.
