Show Two receive SU scholarships -JL newspaper her senior year. Leanne Bradshaw is the daughter of Karl Woodbury Bradshaw, Cedar City. She is a member of the National Honor Society, has maintained nearly a 4.0 grade point average at Cedar High School and is listed in Who's Who in American High School Students. She is section leader for percussion sections of the CHS varsity band and orchestra and has been music librarian. Among the many activities she has participated in include in-clude cheerleading, 4-H, Pep Club and working as the exchange editor for the "Cedar Post." The scholarship winners win-ners will be seniors at their representative high schools this fall. They are among the 384 girls who attended Utah Girls State at SUSC, spending a week as guests of the American Legion Auxiliary while learning the workings of local, county and state government. "It takes a special kind of young woman to be selected to attend Girls State and it takes an i extra special one to be selected lor one of these SUSC scholarships," said Orville D. Carnahan, SUSC President. "Each of the scholarship winners win-ners has demonstrated outstanding leadership abiltiy in her high school and at Girls State. We are pleased to oi ler these scholarships." , ' Scholarships for the 1982-83 school year at Southern Utah State College have been awarded 11 high school seniors who recently visited SUSC as Utah Girls State participants. Winners of full-tuition scholarships for their freshman year at SUSC include Kathryn Lamb-son, Lamb-son, Kearns High School; Cydney Marshall, Beaver High School; Shellie J. Martin, St. Joseph High School; Cindy M. Morley, Hillcrest High School; Barbara T. Smith, Cedar High School ; and Suzette Sorensen, North Sevier High School. Half-tuition scholarships scholar-ships have been awarded to Robyn Everett, Wasatch High School; Leanne Bradshaw, Cedar High School; LeAnne McMullin, Valley High School; Tracy Mitchell, Escalante High School; and Dawn L. Reed, Kanab High School. Barbara Smith is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Leroy Smith, Kanarraville. She is a senior at Cedar High School where she has maintained a 3.9 grade point average. The honor roll student is a member of the National Honor Society and has received a Redmen Pride Award lor Leadership. She holds records in junior high track and has participated in track and volleyball at CHS.
