Show Letters Supports BLM Editor: We would like to commend the BLM for their Environmental Study on Black Mountain Resort. We would also like to thank them for listening to the concerns of the public. The BLM has identified some of the areas which lack sufficient information, in-formation, such as waste treatment (higher taxes), soil instability (a problem with which the city is familiar)? lack of water, canyon community, parking, road improvement im-provement and the "degrading of Wood's Ranch." With the magnitude of these problems there is considerable doubt as to the project's feasibility. We hope the local authorities will take into consideration the concerns identified by the BLM. Our canyons are critically important to Cedar City in many ways. The mistakes made in other canyons of the state shouldn't be repeated here. Doug Croft Association to Save Cedar Canyon |
