Show Carnahan resigns Orville D. Carnahan, president of Southern Utah State College, has announced an-nounced he will be leaving the college to accept the presidency of the Utah Technical College at Salt Lake City. Official announcement of Carnahan's new appointment was made Tuesday by Donald Holbrook, chairman of the Utah State Board of Regents. The administrator will assume his duties at the Technical College on August 1. Carnahan was in Salt Lake City at press time and was unavailable for comment. Petty said he assumes an acting president will be recommended at the July 17 Institutional Council meeting, along with a search committee to head the selection process for a new president. Members of the committee will be from the regents, Institutional Council, college and community. "I feel that we're losing a very good man," Petty remarked.
