Six winners will be selected to enter their projects in the International In-ternational Science and Engineering Fair May 11-16 11-16 in Milwaukee, Wis. Last year a lucky half dozen attended the international in-ternational confab in St. Paul, Minn. Among the many prizes and awards given will be full-tuition scholarships to SUSC which are earmarked ear-marked for outstanding seniors, according to fair director Brent C. Palmer, professor of botany at SUSC. "Many of the science projects are the result of long hours of careful planning and experimentation," ex-perimentation," Dr. Palmer said. "We are pleased to host the science fair at SUSC, to honor these students for their outstanding work." The science fair being held for the ninth year at SUSC features winning science projects from junior and senior high schools throughout the southern half of the state and parts of Nevada and Arizona. These are judged on a regional basis at SUSC. Fair participants wil have their projects set up in the SUSC War Memorial Fieldhouse and ready for judging by 10:30 a.m. Winners will be announced at 5 :30 p.m. The public is invited to visit the fair between 1 and 5 p.m. in the fieldhouse. "Everyone is encouraged to visit the exhibition. There's a great deal to be learned there, and it's a delightful way to spend an afternoon," af-ternoon," Palmer said.
