Show Zion programs set and a 12-minute, free slide program, will remain open from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily; as visitation continues to increase, the hours of operation will be extended. ex-tended. According to Lancaster, Lan-caster, Zion has experienced ex-perienced a 34 percent increase in visitation above that recorded last year at this time. For children aged 6 through 12, the Zion Nature School will open June 8. Superintendent John O. Lancaster of Zion National Park announced recently that daily naturalist walks and evening programs will begin March 22 in response to the increase in park visitation. The daily walks will alternate between the Emerald Pools and Gateway to the Narrows Trails.
