Show funeral services. Prayers and scripture reading were given by Rev. Knowles. Interment was in the Cedar City Cemetery under the direction of Boyer Southern Utah Mortuary. j Candace f Ewing She was a member of Business and Professional Women since 1937, serving in all offices. She served as a Hostess for the Shakespearian Festival for 14 years, a Rotary Ann and also Past Matron of the Eastern Star. She received her college degree at SUSC in art when she was 77 years old. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church. Survivors include one daughter; Mrs. Ray (Mary) Anker of Cedar City; three grandchildren; grand-children; and six greatgrandchildren. great-grandchildren. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 1 :30 p.m. in the Community Presbyterian Church in Cedar City, with Rev. Stephen Knowles officiating. of-ficiating. Bert Carpenter sang "In the Garden" and "Whispering Hope" with Janet Knell ac-companing. ac-companing. Prelude and postlude music was rendered by Lilly Kingdon. The Eastern Star performed their CANDACE LANDERS EWING, 83, Cedar City, died Oct. 4, 1980, in the Valley View Medical Center. She was born Aug. 27, 1897, in Dillion, Montana to Thomas L. and Jeannette Williamson Landers. She married her sweetheart Clifford L. Ewing on Oct. 31, 1917, in Dillion. He preceeded her in death on Nov. 30, 1960. Mrs. Ewing was the owner and operator of the Cedar Laundry and Cleaners for many years. |
