Show Esplin J receives award Marva Winget Esplin, t Cedar City extension home ec- ' conomist recently rtcetv e d t h e Distinguished Service i Award at the 1980 Annual $ Meeting of the National Association of Extension. Home Economists The certificate of 4 recognition was ' presented by NAEHE President Katherine i Everson at the Awards J Program . She shared 1 this honor with Extension i Home Economists from J the other 49 states who j also received similar I recognition. t This award is j presented for outstanding implementation of Ex- 4 tension Home Economics j programs, community leadership, and personal and professioanl growth. Mrs. Esplin has worked 1 cooperatively with the I Family Life Department J of Southern Utah State j I College, Iron County I School District, and i other commmunity j organizations to 1 cordinate programs ; involving families. j She has also used her 1 trained volunteer leaders t in these programs, which are meeting the needs of J an expanding population. Projects include site 1 planning, buying ap- 1 pliances, budget decorating, home repairs 4 and reupholstery J workshops. 1 1 |
