Show Robbery reported PAROWAN Another burglary in Parowan, coupled with two others in the past two weeks, has caused Police Chief Wayne Townsend much concern. Chester Hyatt, 415 W. 300 N., reported Oct. 2 that someone had walked into his unlocked shed and stolen a chainsaw, a 12-gauge shotgun and a rifle, valued at a total of $760. Hyatt told police the items were taken sometime between Saturday and Thursday. The incident is still being investigated. Police Chief Townsend cautioned all residents to lock up their valuables, instead of leaving them out in the open. All citizens should record serial numbers and makes and models of all valuables, said Townsend. "This will enable our department to identify stolen property more efficiently." Also, watch for suspicious persons in your neighborhood. Report suspicious incidents in-cidents to the police department, said Townsend. "We would appreciate help in cutting down the crime rate in our community. |
