Show Large Crowd Attends Center Ward Sunday School Program The main body of the stake Tabernacle Tab-ernacle was crowded last Sunday morning when the Gospel Doctrine Doc-trine class of the Center ward Sunday school presented the Gospel Gos-pel Message, through music, song and poetry. The program was in charge of Juanita Brooks, Mae A. Pace and Mrs. Evan S. Pickett, Pick-ett, and many who attended reported re-ported this was an exceptional program, enlisting profound attention atten-tion of the large audience. Included in the numbers presented pre-sented were a vocal trio, "If With AH Your Hearts", by Mrs. William E. Baker, Mrs. Ray Schmutz and Mrs. Howard Starr; Schubert's "Ave Maria", on the vibraharp by Mrs. Evan S. Pickett; Pick-ett; violin solo, "Air On the G String", by Bach, Mrs. Ellis Everett; Ev-erett; poem, "O God, Let This Be Heaven", by Harrison R. Merrill, Mer-rill, read by Mrs. Virgil Snow, with a musical background on the vibraharp by Mrs. Pickett; ensemble, en-semble, "Ave Maria", by Gounod, and "Prelude", by Bach, Mrs. Everett. Mrs. Schmutz, Paul Thompson, Austin Gentry a n'd Milton Schmutz, featuring three violins, the cello and the vibraharp vibra-harp and vocal solo ,"The Lord's Prayer" by Austin Gentry. The accompaniments were by Mrs. Mae A. Pace. This program was decided upon due to the fact that this particular particu-lar class has so much talent in its membership, many of whom could give expression to religious them in this manner, rather than otherwise. The entire program pro-gram was commended by David Gourley, assistant state superintendent superin-tendent of schools and Antone R. Romney, head of city and county library work in Utah, who attended at-tended the session. |
