Show Foster D. U. P. Camp Postpones Meeting Due to the county D. U. P. convention con-vention being held this week the Foster Camp of the D. U. P. have postponed their' meeting until Thursday, Sept. 30. The meeting will be held at 4 p.m., at the home of Mrs. Milo Blake, Camp Captain. Interesting details of her life in the Hawaiian Islands over a period of five years when she was on a mission there with her husband, hus-band, M. M. Harmon, was given by Mrs. Alice W. "Harmon at the Manomas Andrus Camp meeting held at the home of Mrs. Marcell Schmutz, Sept. 16th. Mrs. Harmon Har-mon also exhibited the many souvenirs which they brought from the Islands. The Hawaiian missionary diary of John T. Caine, early L. D. S. convert and proselyte, and the colorful biography of Horatio Pickett, Dixie pioneer musician, carpenter and mortician, made up the program of the Dixie Camp meeting held Friday, Sept. 17, at the McQuarrie Memorial hall. Mrs William Brooks gave the diary and Mrs. E. J. Pickett gave the Horatio Pickett biography after which members contributed remembrances of their association with Mr. Pickett. |
