Show War and the Peace Is B-P. W. Club Theme "Winning the War and the Peace" is the theme set for the 1943-44 program of Business and Professional Profes-sional Women, the St. George organization or-ganization were told at their season sea-son opening meeting held in the reception hall of the college Science Sci-ence building Wednesday evening, Sept. 23rd. An address of welcome was given by Miss Mona Woodbury, recently installed president, and an outline of the year's educational educa-tional program, emphasizing the theme was presented by Mrs. George Wells. Miss Alice Pendleton Pendle-ton presented 12 new club members, mem-bers, the group including: Sara Wallace, Maree Higbee, Delores Sullivan, Norma Wright, Ellen S. Bentley, Laura Lytle, Helen Seaman, Sea-man, Maurine Gardner, Adrene Cottam, Flora Brooks, Fawn S. Pickett and Madge M. Cannon. Special program numbers for the evening included a vibraharp solo by Mrs. Evan S. Pickett, and a reading Harrison R. Merrill's Mer-rill's "O, God, Let This Be Heaven", by Mrs. Virgil Snow, with vibraharp and violin background back-ground by Mrs. Pickett and Mrs. Ellis Everett. |
