Show LEEDS Mrs. Evelyn McMullin Reporter Mrs. Mary A. Jolley is home again after spending the past winter and summer months with her children in Salt Lake City and Los Angeles. Mrs. Jolley was recently featured at the old folks gathering in Salt Lake as the oldest person there and was privileged privi-leged to speak over the radio during the program. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Isom of Hurricane, where Sunday visitors vis-itors at the home of his daughter, Mrs. David Stirling. The stake missionaries conducted con-ducted a very interesting cottage meeting Wednesday night on the lawns of the Oscar McMullin home. Bishop Stanley Fuller has recovered re-covered from his recent attack of pneumonia. A Red Cross knitting club was held at Mrs. E. L. Sullivan's this week. Some excellent work is being done by the beginner knitters. knit-ters. Interesting remarks were given at our Sacrament meeting by Mr. and Mrs. Grant McMullin. Especially Es-pecially so were those of Mrs. McMullin, who has recently come over from Australia. She is a recent convert to our church and gave an account of the L. D. S. church there. Also of her conversion con-version and her voyage over here. She is so happy and thankful to be here and we are pleased to have her. Those attending the chicken supper given at Roy Grant's ranch were the families of R. C. Savage, Laurence McMullin, Vere McMullin, Ross Savage and Bob Naegle, together with friends from New Harmony and Esca-lante. Esca-lante. Mrs. Glenn Beal has been called to the home of her parents in Alton because of the serious illness ill-ness of her father. Mr. and Mrs. John Long and family of Boulder City visited over the week end with their mother, Mrs. Dalice Hartman. Yoeman lone Olsen is expected home this week end from Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she has completed com-pleted her schooling in the WAVES. She will visit with her relatives and friends a few days before returning to Washington, D. C, to accept the position assigned as-signed to her. RJchard "Dick" McMullin, son of Mr. and Mrs. Max McMullin enlisted in the Navy the latter part of August, and is being trained at Camp Scott, Farragut, Idaho. Bert Sullivan and Minnie Harris spent the week end home. They are leaching school this year at Rockville and Springdale, respectively. |
