Show Friday, Oct. 1st Set As West Ward Day Friday, 'Oct. 1st, has been selected se-lected as the 1943 West Ward Day, reports Grant Whitehead, of the bishopric and Miss Tillie Winsor, Win-sor, publicity chairman, and plans are underway to provide one of the best ward day dinners yet served i n gathering additional funds towards the completion of their ward chapel. The entire effort this year will be on the evening dinner which it is hoped by the ward officers that every individual and family in St. George who can do so will plan to attend. Beef and lamb have been donated in quantity quan-tity by producers for this event (Continued on page five) West Ward Day (Continued from page six) and the chickens and rabbits have been raised under ward projects. Vegetables and other essentials to produce a top-grade meal are also being contributed by ward members and others interested, and the committees which are well organized are ready to put the job over in fine style, say, the officers. All that is being asked of the people is that they reserve this one evening to bring their friends and their families and purchase their dinner at the West Ward Day event, which will be held Friday evening, Oct. 1st, in the Woodward high school gymnasium. |
